Oh no! Anthony Kiedis suffered an injury to his foot recently that will require him to get foot surgery and will result in the rescheduling of the upcoming Red Hot Chili Peppers 2012 tour dates in support of the new Red hot Chili Peppers album I'm With You. Kiedis will reportedly have surgery "to remove a crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon in his foot." Best of luck Anthony and get well soon!

On October 29th if you're in London be sure to check out a special performance at the London Barbicon with Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and Blur, Gorillaz and The Good, the Bad & the Queen frontman Damon Albarn. Flea has been making the rounds lately as a bassist in Thom Yorke's side project, Atoms for Peace and is touring now in support of the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album I'm With You.

With the new Red Hot Chili Peppers Album I'm With You due in stores and online on August 30th, the band has decided to go all out balls to the walls with a "Special high-definition cinematic in-theater event." What that means is that the Chili Peppers will be broadcasting a performance of the album in its entirety from a gig in Cologne, Germany. You can buy tickets for the event at rhcplivehd.com

The Red Hot Chili Peppers returned to live on tour status with a secret outdoor performance outside a library in Big Sur near a one of Flea's homes. The band debuted material from the new Chili Peppers album I'm With You to a 300-person crowd of Flea's neighbors and friends of the band and new members, guitarist Josh Klinghoffer and percussionist Mauro Refosco, who played with Flea in Thom Yorke's side project Atoms for Peace. The band is road testing the new material and cleaning out the cobwebs on two more secret shows before they embark on the Asian leg of the Chili Peppers tour next week.

With the excitement building over the release of the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album, I'm With You, the Chili Peppers dropped the first track off the album, the superb bass jam called The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie.
